Najica Blitz Tatics
Assimilator

Synopsis/Story Line:

Najica Blitz Tatics is a nice secret agent anime with androids.  That is the 1 line description of its genre.  The anime has two main characters, Najica and Lila.  Najica is the worlds biggest perfume designer with an excellent nose.  But she has a second job as a secret agent, the best secret agent in the organization.  Now Lila is a bit different, she looks about 10 years old and is an android that will literally follow any order to the key.  In the first episode Najica rescues an inactive Lila and then later finds out that Lila is her new/first partner.  These two are sent on several missions, which eventually all turn into android retrieval missions, whether they like it or not.  That is basically what the series is about, I would tell you more but as will become evident in more future reviews, I am very against spoilers.

Story/Character Development:

The story of Najica is written pretty well, it flows well from on part to the next and from what I could tell it leaves no plot holes, of course I usually follow the mantra of “There are NO plot holes.”  The story shows Najica going from this hard ass that cares very little for the young and robotic Lila.  Eventually she views Lila as the daughter she never had.  The transition is very smooth between one and the other with each episode moving her emotional state moving more and more to a caring individual.

Lila’s character development is much different; she enters the series with the attitude of the child she looks like, very naïve.  She does exactly what is told of her, even thought the results are sometimes a bit.  With her computer mind she is programmed to follow orders to a T.  She also has the ability to examine something (usually only done when ordered to though) and figure out how to deal with the situation.  Unfortunately she solves them the most direct way possible, not always the best way.  For example, she is asked to look at a champagne bottle and open it, she sees that it is a carbonated beverage, so she shakes it until the cork pops out.  She got the job done, but it was not the best way to get it done.  Eventually she grows more humanity and learns to make her own decisions.

The story itself is moves along smoothly, you do not necessarily have to watch every episode to know what is going on, but it is still a good idea to.  It moves along smoothly and does not usually leave you wondering, how the hell she got out of that situation.  All in all, it works well.

Animation/Sound Quality:

The animation in Najica is done quite well.  You can follow the action rather well, which is good since it there is a lot of hand-to-hand combat in the show.  The characters are all unique to there is no confusion on who is who.  It is smooth with what I think is proper coloring and such, but I’m no art student (looks over at ZeldaQueen).

The sound seems appropriate to what is going on, gun shots and random explosions (YAY) sound good and there is often appropriate music for what is going on.  There is not much else for me to say about the sound.

Voice-Acting/Fan Service:

Panty shots, panty shots, and more panty shots, you cannot go 5 minutes in this show and now see some panties.  I mean Najica wears a skirt that is probably 6” long.  The first episode features maid body guards that get knocked out and all end up showing their rears, although it would be very easy to show said panties anyways.  This show has more panties then a Victoria’s Secret store.  There is not much boob/cleavage shots in this show with their being only one swimsuit episode, but hey, with all those panty shots you can’t complain.

The voice acting is done well, with they voices reacting to the situations the characters where in.

9/10 MFz

Overall I think this is a good series with plenty secret agent stuff and fan-service to keep fans watching the series.  I recommend this show to any interested in either of these two things.
