Modern Action, Modern Adventure - Proteus

So, a lot of us have played Dungeons and Dragons, the role-playing game that allows you to explore the dungeon, slay the dragon, and rescue the princess.  Now, Wizards has recently released d20 Modern, the action adventure game where you get to create a world similar to your favorite movies.  Whether you are stopping the bank robbery, killing a mob boss, or investigating the paranormal, you are guaranteed a great time.  Anyone familiar with D&D knows that you tend to haul around cartloads of gold to make your purchases; not so with d20 Modern.  The game engine uses a new system for purchases called the wealth system.  This new system, although difficult to learn provides for all of your characters needs, including housing, food, and routine bills.  All you have to do is remember to spend within your limits and your character has no trouble keeping themselves well off.  Overall I give d20 modern 4 stars out of five.  The game engine is good, it can be a little difficult to learn at first, but there are no limits for you character.
