To say the first year of Denver Comic Con was a success is an understatement. Today the Denver Post reported that, for its very first year, Denver Comic Con had 27,700 attendees. This is the second highest inaugural weekend for a convention next to New York Comic Con which had 32,000. They only beat by a paltry 4,300 people. Yes, with these sort of numbers I am going to view that as paltry. NDK only had 10,000 people. Sure they have an attendance cap, but this number did not hit it. Thanks to this grand success we can expect an even larger Comic Con here in Denver next year when they return to the Denver Convention Center on May 31 - June 2. Denver Comic Con will feature the one, the only, Stan "The Man" Lee. Here is looking forward to another great year.
