The Professional Gamer - August 15, 2014

Hello readers!  This has been one of those very busy weeks at work; however, I was able to spend some time in the evening doing more geeky things.  Read on to learn more about what I've been doing.

Reading: This week in the self-sufficient life was reading about rearing animals.  I am mixed between wanting to have all the animals because they can offer so much to the gardener; but also not wanting them because I'm nervous about messing everything up.  Its a moot point since I live in a typical suburban quarter acre, but it is fun to imagine "what if" on some occasions.  I could get some chickens or rabbits.  So that's something that I may consider for the future.

Watching:  This week I watched the most recent Doctor Who Christmas special, "The Time of the Doctor".  I feel like this episode was a lot better than the 50th Anniversary.  In part, because there was considerably less Moffat-ness about it. Since its only been on Netflix / Hulu for a few weeks, I'll hold off on spoilers here.  In short, good episode, go watch it.

Playing: At ZeldaQueen's urging, I picked up Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD again.  In my business (and my limited attention span), I had forgotten about the game for several months.  Then I binged a bit and played through the whole Wind Temple in a single night.  But that's geekiness for you.  I'm still loving the game and regretting that I never finished it when it originally came out.

That's all for this week.  Please join us again next week for another installment of the Professional Gamer!
