So if you cannot tell I am a little excited about the recent Thundercats trailer that has been released. "Coming Soon" to Cartoon Network it is a near complete redo of the original cartoon. While normally this would be a reason for complaint, so far this looks awesome. It shows what happens when a superior power finds itself out matched with greater technology. The mix of sword, sorcery, and technology looks great. Now lets hope the series lives up to the trailer.

So you remember World of Goo right? The addictive tower building game that came out waaaayyy back in October 2008. It was one of the most pirated games of its day and did not get near the amount of money per unit that it should have, due to a pay what you think it is worth pricing model (cheap bastards that spent a $0.01). Still not ringing any bells? Ok it was about a bunch of goo balls (didn't figure that one out huh?) that you used to build a tower to a pipe to collect said goo. Well it is coming to iOS for an astounding $2.99. So now you can build your goo based towers anywhere! But it gets better, if you are attentive and manage to purchase it on release day you will save $2.00 as it will be $0.99. The catch on this is, sadly, I don't know the relase date yet. So keep an eye out and save that $2.00.
Now don't go and get bent out of shape iPad owners that have World of Goo HD. Your copy is being made universal so if you have already purchased it for your iPad then you already have it for your iPhone/iPod. You just have to wait for it to come out.

Meet the EnemyWe once again return to the world of Thedas in Bioware’s next installment of the Dragon Age series. For those not familiar with the Dragon Age series, it takes place in the world of Thedas where, due to the misuse of magic, the “Maker” has turned his back on the world. Those that caused this were turned into “Darkspawn”, evil creatures without souls that destroy everything in their path and live mostly underground. Once every few hundred or thousand years, the Darkspawn gather together into a large horde and assault the surface under the command of an “Arch Demon”, an ancient and powerful “Old God” that has been corrupted by the Darkspawn.

So I saw Sucker Punch today, and as usual it is a movie that I honestly find to be good. But since the geek population is far from the largest demographic in the world it is getting its ass handed to it in reviews. So for those of you not familar with the movie it stars Emily Browning as Baby Doll. Now, I don't know if this counts as a spoiler since it all happens during the the initial credits of the movie, but you have been warned. The movie starts with Baby Doll's mom passing away. Her sister and herself are (expectedly) torn up about this. Not torn up about it was their step dad, what he is pissed about is that he was not in the will. So he tries to molest Baby Doll, and when he fails she gets locked in her room and he goes after her younger sister. Baby Doll climbs out a window, down to the first floor in the rain, grabs a gun and attempts to shoot the basterd. This is where she gets a bit unstable. She misses and kills her sister. From here she is taken to the sanitorium (without killing the step dad first, which she really shoud have). This all happened in the first few minutes so it was not dragged out and got the movie off to nice start. We have a setting and it did not waste even 1/4 of the movie setting it up.
