To say Microsoft showed a lot of games would be an understatement. They had 50 games, some already released but with new content, some were exclusive, and some just new. Although there was not always a lot said about these games.Read More
Microsoft is out the gate as the second company to have their conference. Lets look at what all they presented, shall we?
First off was the elephant in the room, Project Scorpio, or as it is now known, Xbox One X. Would it kill them to use the code names for actual product names? I really like a lot of the code names. The system will be out on 11/7 world wide at $499. The system has a 6 tereflop GPU at 1.172 Ghz, 12 GB of RAM, and 32GB/s of bandwidth. What this basically comes down to is the system is super powerful and supports 4K in the truest sense of the word. Also the accessories and games will be backwards compatible with the the new system. They are also reporting that if you don't have a 4K TV games will look great on a 1080P TV. In order to keep the infamous red ring of death at bay they have introduced a liquid cooled vapor chamber. And the blasted thing is also pretty small. It is barely bigger then the controller.Read More

After over 2 years of waiting, Overwatch has finally arrived. Coming from the remains of the “Titan” project, Overwatch is a new entry in the Team-Oriented Role-Based FPS genre. Man, that is what, TORBFPS? Note to self, find better acronym for this. Anyway, until this came the most prosperous game in the this category was Team Fortress 2. And while Team Fortress 2 is still going to be sitting comfortably on its hat filled throne, we finally at least have a game to give it a run for its money.Read More
Do you feel the need? The need for speed? OK, I have that out of my system, lets move on. This season EA released the next iteration in the Need for Speed series, Need for Speed Rivals. Your canvas is the majestic Redview County, which is remarkable diverse. There are snow capped mountains, twisting passes, seaside villages, freeways that are under construction and a desert / canyon. This gives you a great diversity of areas to drive, each with it's own pros and cons. Will you stick to the twisting roads and out maneuver your rival? Or will you go for the long straightaways and out run them?Read More
"Young Justice", the Cartoon Network TV series about the younger DC heroes, is getting its own game. This game is 100% canon with the TV series. To get more on this we sat down with the creators of Young Justice for details on how this will work.
First a little background on the series. "Young Justice" has reached the second season, and if you are following it you may have noticed their was a five year gap between season one and season two. A lot changed during that gap. Artimis and Kid Flash both left the super hero life style, Beast Boy and Blue Beetle joined the team, and Aqualad turned to the dark side and works for Black Manta, his father, now. But how did this all happen? When Little Orbit (the studio making the game) approached the creators they decided the game would be the perfect way to tell how what happened. The game focuses on what is initially a search for a missing archeologist, but turns into something much bigger. The mission takes team members to locations such as Greece and Siberia for this major event, and eventually involves members of the Justice League.
This game has been in production since October and is going to play a little like "Marvel Ultimate Alliance" where you choose your team and level them up. This allows you to fell as if you are growing them into the heroes you see in "Young Justice: Invasion". Robin (Dick Grayson) becomes Nightwing and Robin (Tim Drake) is introduced as an example. As you play this, you form these characters into what you see in the show. The game overall will have 12 playable heroes. They are Nightwing, Superboy, Miss Martian, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Artimis, Zataana, Beast Boy, Tempest, Robin (Tim Drake), Rocket and Batgirl. Together the will have to defeat 12 villains. The tag line for the game is "One will rise. One will fall. One will die". Given the series will see Dick Grayson rise to Nightwing, Aqualad fall, but the death is a mystery to me. I can guess that it may be Zatanna since I have not seen her in the series, but that is just a guess. Look for more on the game at http://www.youngjusticelegacy.com/.
Edit: Looks like I was wrong about who will die, the mystery is still alive! Thanks commenters!
I want to be clear with something before I give you my impressions on Hitman Absolution, I am a huge fan of the Hitman series. So, if my impressions of Hitman Absolution come off as “fan boyish” it’s because, yes, I am a Hitman fanboy.
Hitman Absolution takes place with our favorite assassin Agent 47.
