Hello everybody and welcome to a long overdue episode of Conversations with IrishPride.  Today I am actually going to give a quick book review.  That's right, an actual real life book.  Well, technically, it was an electronic book on my Kindle app, but a book nonetheless!  Believe it or not, I do read when I get the opportunity to.  So without further ado, I give you my quick review of Ernest Cline's novel, Ready Player One.

 

 

After cranking out two CwIP's in less than a week, I seem to have taken a brief hiatus, but now return with episode 23 of Conversations with IrishPride!  Today I'm going to talk about Steam and more specifically the Summer Sale that Steam is currently running.

Has Hell frozen over?  Quite possibly with another new installment of CwIP less than two days of the last.  Welcome everybody to Episode 22 of Conversations with IrishPride.  At this rate, I'll be hitting episode 100 in no time!  I wouldn't hold my breath though.  Today I'm going to ramble about a game my Dad and I have created awhile ago and it's just too stupid not to share with all of you.

Hello everybody and welcome to another edition of Conversations with IrishPride.  It's been awhile since our last episode of CwIP, so I'm hoping this one will make up for the break.  Today I'm going to talk about Nintendo and how almost every other video game site are absolutely bashing them and saying how they lost E3.  Well, I'm here to actually defend Nintendo and explain to all the other "giant" video game sites that you are absolutely wrong. 

 

Hello everybody!  In the words of GLaDOS, I am indeed "Still Alive!"  Welcome to episode 19 of Conversations with IrishPride.  I know, I know, it's been a long time since your eyes had the pleasure of reading useless comments that come out of my brain and onto this page.  Today will be no different as I think I'm going to talk about, I don't know, let's say...Diablo 3?

 

Sure, let's talk about Diablo 3.  I admit, I'm excited for this game to finally be released.  I absolutely played the crap out of Diablo 2 back in the day, but, I feel I haven't been doing my due diligence on this title.  I haven't been keeping up to date with the progression of the game, I didn't play the open beta (I tried, but for whatever reason, couldn't get the thing to download) and I cannot even tell you the different classes.  Now, I know I will buy Diablo 3 and I will probably enjoy it as well.  My question to all of you out there is this: Should I do some research on the game; look up the different classes and abilities so I'm prepared when the game is launched?  Or, should I continue my current path and not look anything up online and go into the game blind making my choices "on the fly" if you will.  Part of me wants to look at the different classes and abilities so I can prepare how I want to build my first character and to see which one is best.  The other part of me likes the idea of doing no research on the game and simply jump in and see which class/abilities speak to me.  I'll leave it up to you, the beautiful readers of The Gameslave.  So, should I research the different classes or just jump into the game?  Leave your comments below and this is IrishPride, (I am very much alive) signing out.  Until next time, whenever that may be, May the 4th be with you!

Hello everybody and welcome to episode 18 of Conversations with IrishPride!  Today I am going to talk about how it has been a long time since I've been extremely excited for a game to be released.  Anyone that knows me or has kept up with my past episodes will know that I am talking about Mass Effect 3.

 

I am a huge Mass Effect fan.  The story is top notch, the gameplay and action is stellar and it has huge replay values, everything we gamers look for in a game.  I am absolutely enamored with the story of Mass Effect.  Never before in a video game have I been invested with the characters on screen.  The decisions that you make throughout the story actually has meaningful outcomes.  You care about your teammates and it's hard to see them get killed.  In preparation for Mass Effect 3, I decided to play though Mass Effect 2 yet again and there is one thing I learned about ME2... it's still a great game.

 Time to save the galaxy.

After putting 100+ hours into Mass Effect 2, I still enjoyed it as much as the first time.  It's rare for me to replay a video game, but I've done so with ME multiple times.  After beating ME2 and all the dlc available, I'm am even more excited to conclude Commander Shepherd's story.  I'm also a little sad knowing that it will be over soon.  BioWare did tell fans to hold onto their ME3 save files hinting at the possibility of a Mass Effect 4, but I don't want to give my hopes up.  It has been a long time since I was so excited for a video game release, even more so than ZeldaQueen was for Skyward Sword.  Luckily the wait is almost over.  Until then, I'm going to continue to play the fantastic multiplayer demo with Assimilator.
