This review can be summed up to one sentence. I really wanted to like Star Trek The Game. As a long term trekkie I love when something new based in the Star Trek universe comes out. I have third person Trek games, first person games, encyclopedias, a voice activated omnipedia, trivia games, and turn based strategy games; most of them I really liked. So when I learned that Namco was making a Star Trek game with the Gorn as the main enemies at least E3 I was excited. To learn that they had the actors from the new series reprising their roles for voices told me that I could at least expect the acting in the game to be good. I had high hopes for this game. Too bad they were misplaced.
So this will be the last full podcast for a few weeks. Proteus and ZeldaQueen have the nerve to go on vacation. So the next few weeks will be just Assimilator.
And off to the notes.
I appear to be in a video mood today. As many of you may (or may not) know, Gangnam Style as taken the world (defined by 300,000,000+ YouTube hits) by storm. So that means the parodies are going to roll in. So, without further ado, I present to you Klingon Style.
Today marks the 46th Anniversary of Star Trek. To honor this momentous occasion our lord and master, Google, has created an interactive doodle of when Kirk had to fight a Gorn without a phaser. That is all, you may go back to work now.
So a week or so ago we posted a Star Wars Call Me Maybe Parody. Well we here at The Gameslave are equal opportunity geeks. As I felt that, to give the other side of the coin an equal chance, I needed to post this Start Trek: The Next Generation Call Me Maybe parody video that was done in the same fasion as the Star Wars paroday. Enjoy my friends.
E3 has come and gone. I have now placed my thougths and experiances of the show into podcast form, so stay awhile and listen.
OK, we are past 100 and now well on our way. Today we are rather anime heavy and what games we do speak of are sci-fi. Hope you enjoy.
Also the contest for 3 months of Xbox Live is still active until 03/04/2012. Listen for details.
