The Professional Gamer - May 16, 2014

This past week, I've continued working my way through my favorite animated series and new RPG. Read on to learn more.

Reading: Gardening season is now on us in full, and I am still reading through every gardening resource that I can find at my local library. As a bonus, I had my first harvest of the year this week: a few radishes. These were quickly devoured by ZeldaQueen, but there should be plenty more to follow.

Watching: I am now into Season 6 of Adventure Time, which means that I am very close to catching up on the show entirely. At this point, I feel like we are building to some sort of major conflict or revelation at the end of this season. I am going to be sad when I have caught up with the broadcast and can no longer binge on this superb show.

Playing: I am still working my way through Bravely Default which is still probably the best JRPG since Final Fantasy: Tactics Advanced. I am really taking my time to make sure that my characters are high enough level to keep the boss fights from being lethal. This is certainly a game where tactical errors, even when you are considerably higher level than your opponent, can be fatal. This sense of danger makes the game more enjoyable than the typical RPG.

That's all for this week. I hope you will join me again. Game on!
